Problem Collection for Austrian Mathematical Olympiad
History and System
The Austrian Mathematical Olympiad was established in 1970. It is organized in several rounds, the last one being held in late May or early June. Now the final round has two parts (what ever these stand for), one consisting of four problems and the other one of six problems in two days.
Austria at International Competitions
Austria participates at the IMO since 1970 and at the Austrian-Polish MC since its establishment (1978). The IMO team is presumably selected through the national MO. Its best success was the 29-th place in 1999.
