Problem Collection for CroatiaHistory and SystemMathematical competitions in Croatia have been held since 1956, when it was a part of former Yugoslavia. The existing system was slightly modified after gaining independence in 1991 and the numbering was reset starting with 1992. The competitions are held in several stages - school, municipal, regional, and finally the republic stage, i.e. the National MO. The national MO is held in early May, usually on the Adriatic coast, and consists of four problems for each of grades 1 to 4 of high school (like the preliminary rounds).Croatia at International CompetitionsCroatia has participated at the IMO since 1993. The team is selected through the national MO and eventually a selection test held the next day. In the recent history the best success of the team at the IMO was the 24-th place in 1997.ProblemsThe total number of available problems is 183.
