David Carlton obtained a doctorate in mathematics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1998.
The title of the thesis was:
Moduli for Pairs of Elliptic Curves with Isomorphic N-torsion.
The thesis supervisors were Barry Charles Mazur and Steven Lawrence Kleiman.
