Georg Illies obtained a doctorate in mathematics at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster in 1997.
The title of the thesis was:
Regularisierte Produkte. Spurformeln und Cramér-Funktionen.
The thesis supervisors were Christopher Deninger and Jürgen Elstrodt.
